This engine comes paired with a continuously variable transmission. There’s also a turbocharged four-cylinder that generates 190 hp and 179 lb-ft of torque.
The 2019 Subaru Forester comes in five distinct trim levels: base, Premium, Sport, Limited, and Touring.
The base trim gets you push-button start, lane keeping assist, 17-inch steel wheels, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a CD player, satellite radio, automatic climate control, a 6.5-inch touchscreen, and more.
The Premium gains a Wi-Fi hotspot, a six-speaker audio system, hill descent control, a cargo cover, tinted windows, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof, a rear spoiler, roof rails, and alloy wheels.
The Sport offers keyless entry, automatic high-beam control, 18-inch black wheels, an additional driving mode, LED fog lights, and steering wheel-mounted shift paddles.
The Limited receives a leather-wrapped shifter, a power liftgate, leather upholstery, adaptive headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control, fog lights, and an 8-inch touchscreen.
The top trim, the Touring, provides driver seat memory settings, heated rear seats, an eight-way power passenger seat, LED fog lights, and more.
As far as the engine of the Forester is concerned, all trim levels receive a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 182 hp and 176 lb-ft of torque. This engine comes paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. It is offered in all-wheel drive.
As you can see, both the 2019 Honda CR-V and the 2019 Subaru Forester come with a wide array of features for you to enjoy. From comfort to technology and everything in-between, both vehicles have numerous features spread across each trim. While the Forester offers an extra trim, the CR-V gains an extra trim level. So, how can you decide between the two?
For starters, it’s important to note that although the CR-V offers one less trim, it compacts many features within the four trim levels offered. On top of that, you also have the choice of two engines. For those who are concerned with performance, this is a good choice. That’s why we recommend the 2019 Honda CR-V.
