1. Service Writer / Service Advisor
This position serves as the primary point of contact between our customers and the service department. This role involves managing customer interactions, scheduling service appointments, diagnosing vehicle issues, recommending appropriate services, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction. This position is responsible for understanding customer needs, relaying information to mechanics, preparing accurate repair orders, and clearly explaining service options to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Interaction - Greeting customers with a friendly attitude, actively listening to their concerns, and consistently providing excellent customer service.
- Service Recommendation - Accurately diagnosing vehicle issues, recommending necessary repairs or maintenance, and explaining service options in a clear, understandable manner to customers.
- Communication - Maintaining open communication with mechanics regarding customer concerns and repair needs, and keeping customers informed about the status of their vehicles throughout the service process.
- Scheduling and Paperwork - Efficiently scheduling service appointments, preparing detailed repair orders, and managing all related paperwork for vehicle repairs.
- Financial Transactions - Accurately calculating and processing customer payments, including deductibles and applicable taxes.
- Sales and Up-selling - Proactively understanding customer needs and recommending additional services or products that enhance vehicle performance, safety, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Complaint Resolution - Professionally handling customer complaints related to service experiences and working to ensure a positive resolution and lasting customer relationship.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and engine-related issues in Honda vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid level checks.
- Communicate clearly with customers to explain vehicle problems, recommended repairs, and any potential additional service needs.
- Accurately document all work performed, including repair orders and electronic records.
- Participate in Honda-sponsored training programs to stay updated on the latest technologies and repair methods.
- Order necessary parts from the parts department and ensure proper maintenance of shop equipment.
- Verify that all serviced vehicles comply with relevant federal and state regulations.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by assisting less experienced technicians and helping to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
